Sonic the Hedgehog - Elitist Sonic fans in a nutshell. (This is funny and painful in equal measure...)

I think the main problem here is that sonic has had so many different formulas at this point that they completely divided the fanbase we have adventure fans with shadow and treasure hunting, we have the 2d fans that only want Sonic and Eggman and nobody else, the unleashed and generations crowd with boosting, the guys that like Jason Griffith over Ryan Drummond, there’s too much variation and not enough people agreeing on anything, the sonic fan base is in a constant civil war.

You can be like Mario and call of duty and barely change anything and have people whine for keeping a formula

or you can be like Sonic and Paper Mario and constantly change and divide the community
