I don't care that it's genwunner pandering. If anything, I'd say it's kinda neat seeing Giovanni for the first time since HG/SS. What I really care about is that they're letting us fight ALL the evil team bosses. And that includes Maxie and Archie, not as they appeared in ORAS, but their models are actually based off of how they appeared in the original gen 3 games. I think the Rainbow Rocket stuff is set up for a post-game thing anyway, so don't worry about Giovanni being behind the Necrozma stuff either.
