I think the difference can be displayed in how each treated their content when it hit a movie theater. Doug merely casually mentions that you can see it in this movie theater. In contrast, James has an entire episode talking about his production schedule, when the movies were coming out, for how long, cost, the movie theater owners, and his person travel time that it was taking him to show up to these on a map. For him it wasn't just enough revenue stream / advertising, it was his dream.
