Here is a problem that can arise from GPA.
>Nearly have your degree
>Need to do an internship in order to have any future career
>All internships say they only take GPA 3.5 or above, reject all other applications
>Have a 2.7 GPA because at another college in another degree program you had a hack advisor who does stuff like put you in the most advanced physics course the university has to offer, insists that this is something beginners can do, makes you feel dumb when you start failing the subject, gawks in surprise when you tell him you've never had any basic classes in this subject and wonders why you didn't tell him sooner in spite of his previous statements and the fact that he has your high school transcript so he should know this already. (Freaking private universities, man)
>No internship will accept any application
>Can't move forward from here
>Years and $ wasted. Reevaluate your whole life and education up to this point.
