I just realized y the ending was so much more satisfying then the base games. Its cuz we've never actually seen all of the characters together and share a triumphant moment.

Seriously as soon as octivio explodes we get a news broadcast then cut to credits. We finally get to see everyone celebrate after the battle and relax!

And unlike agents 3 and 4, it's kind of impossible for no one to have noticed this bit of heroics. I mean, yeah agent 3's exploits may have accidentally caused an octarian revolution, but no one knew that at the time.
