Hmm… it occurred to me that Dat Boi's semi surrealist, shitposty nature goes along perfectly with the theme of deep-friend memes and similar others, which in turn made me realize that had the meme been created along the time those got popular, this one would probably have lived much longer. Despite that, that would still essentially mean that Dat Boi pioneered the concept of weird memes alongside others like Gnome Child and Meme Man, but never really pieced that one up together until now.
