This is unironically what his reaction would be. Remember, prior to the game, Rex was just a simple salvager trying to make money for his family back at home. Even after basically saving the world, Rex would still feel amazed that there's a character in his likeness for heroes form around the multiverse.

Kinda like how Shovel Knight would be practically honored to be an assist trophy.
