Which is one reason why I'm thinking the "your choices don't matter" thing Toby is constantly stating both in and out of the game might be only a "half truth." Maybe they won't have any affect on the ending, but they'll still show noticeable effects at other parts of the story (in chapter 1 one of the biggest differences based on pacifism vs fighting was how the King is ultimately "finished off" and I have a good feeling the full game will have similar situations, and they might eventually culminate in one section where certain characters interactions with the player depend on if they chose to ACT or FIGHT most of the game).

And even though the plot is linear, apparently being pacifist makes the karma of the end of Ch 1 considerably more laser guided
