Does the phrase "F Students Are Inventors" ring a bell? It's from a new viral video that's spreading fast on TikTok and Instagram Reels. People can't decide if it's true, cringe or both.

The guy saying it is named Ben Azoulay. He wants kids with F grades to feel better about their futures. They have the opportunity and the advantage to "invent" something because they're so "F'ing creative," according to Azoulay.

People seem to be mocking Azoulay's video, but there are multiple layers to uncover here to fully understand the reaction playing out in memes.

So, who is Ben Azoulay? What's the "F Students Are Inventors" meme, and why is it trending? Let's explain.

What's The Original 'F Students Are Inventors' Video?

The original video was posted to TikTok and Instagram Reels last month by a guy named Ben Azoulay. He's shown wearing a black tank top and sporting a long beard in the clip. Perhaps he's trying to make himself look wise before dropping some knowledge.

He starts by saying, "If you’re a young boy and you’re in a situation where you’re an F student, let me tell you something, you got a bright future, buddy."

He goes on to powerscale A, B, C, D and F grade students. Azoulay gives the edge to the latter, saying, "F students are inventors."

Who Is Ben Azoulay, Also Known As '@kingazoulay?'

Ben Azoulay, an American-Israeli business and fitness influencer, who has earned a viral following on both TikTok and Instagram. He posts motivational content meant to inspire young men to become stronger both physically and financially.

He hasn't been posting for very long. His earliest Reels date back to 2022. Since then, he's been trying to hack the Andrew Tate method, or at least that's what his posts give off.

He's usually smoking cigars, lifting weights and appearing on podcasts (that could be fake).

Why Is 'F Students Are Inventors' A Meme?

Over the years, a deep loathing for so-called "Sigma Hustle Culture" content has developed online. Many meme creators set their sights on the overly sincere and "alpha" peddlers who push the entrepreneurial "grindset," attacking their whole thing with irony.

Recent examples of subverting Hustle Culture include the meme storm that occurred in the wake of Luke Belmar sipping Johnnie Walker in the war room with Tristan Tate. People thought the glazing was crazy in this clip, which led to the viral mockery.

If that doesn't ring a bell, maybe "I Bought a Property in Egypt" does. It was a Reel from another crypto bro who was trying to push Egyptian real estate. People were confused about his angle.

A lot of the negative perceptions aimed at many of these men are because of a widely held belief that they're grifters and conmen.

Their social media presences are usually a means to an end: selling you a course on how to get rich like them. Andrew Tate's Hustlers University is the premier example of this.

Ben Azoulay may be no different, as it appears he wants people to subscribe to his "King Azoulay" newsletter and sign up for his online courses.

The memes seem to be rebelling against his confidence, focused on his take that F students are the inventor class.

What Are Some More 'F Students Are Inventors' Memes?

The thing about this meme is that, yes, some of the jokes are about Ben Azoulay being a cringe hustler, but a lot of the other memes follow a much simpler format. People are mostly using the original video's sound and posting videos of themselves doing dumb stuff.

When the videos of the hooliganism are paired with Azoulay's monologue, in which he's praising F students, the videos hilariously counter the claim by showing his good eggs making a mess.

Many of the "inventions" showcased in these memes are instead destructions. For instance, a lot of teens are using the "F Students Are Inventors" audio to post their "Chromebook Durability Tests."

If these kids are the inventors of tomorrow, they sure have a lot of catching up to do. But at least they're being creative, which, to Azoulay's point, is what they're kind of good at.
