To me, when devs or publishers say their game is "Inclusive" it just means they tried to please everyone. Problem there is, the only crowd they're actually pleasing is the crowd who think its actually possible to please everyone. No surprise that these games go on to fail, because that is a very, very small crowd they're actually hitting Make a game aimed at men Make a game aimed at womern Make a game aimed at kids gays blacks whites it doesn't matter But when you try to hit ALL of thos demographics at once? You end up with a financial failure 9/10 times Pick a target. Stick with it. Don't worry about anyone else. They're not important. They're not your target demographic. They're not the ones who are going to be buying your game. Or even better: aim at none of those demographics and just focus on making a good game, which will also not please everybody, but it the go-to, time-tested approach to good game development. Race and gender will become but an irrelevant afterthought that way, and your game will still succeed if you did it well.
