90s Nostalgia - why do 90s kids keep doing this

Cartoons made in the early 20th century were made for cinemas rather than TV, so the budgets and whatnot were quite different (plus they were usually made to compliment other things like full length feature films, new reels, or paired with other shorts like The Three Stooges). They were also usually made more with adults in mind which is why some old cartoons of that era got away with some humor you didn't see much on cartoons made for TV until about the 90s and 00s.

It surprises me that cartoons of that quality were made in the early 1900's. I thought this was made in the sixties as well.
