In the past 3 weeks I have bought my own car (we were sharing), signed a lease on my own house, and filed for divorce. It's very clear to me now that I have no choice but to flee my abuser. I believed better of him as a human being and he proved me wrong. This has been the single most devastating experience of my life, and I will be recovering from this for years I have not yet announced this publicly, but I will soon, after our assets have been formally split. I'm so, so exhausted of hiding my pain to protect my famous abuser's reputation. He is responsible for his own actions the truth will eventually come out.
