And for the 100th time I'll also point out Luigi's Mansion 3 as a good example of what's being said on the left. Nintendo reps explicitly said they didn't give a concrete release date during E3 because "we want Next Level to tell us when it's going to be ready." Also Next Level said they took a lot of the feedback they received from Dark Moon into account when making LM3, wanting the game to be a "the best elements of both previous titles" situation (for example we've got a return of portrait ghosts and the more bit-sized mission like structure of Dark Moon is replaced with something closer to the pacing of the original, but they're keeping the things people loved about Dark Moon such as Luigi and the mook ghosts having more expressive animations and more mechanics for exploration and combat than what the original LM had).
