One of the reasons Zits is one of my favorite comics is because of moments like this. Despite their humorous quirks all three main characters (Jeremy along with his parents Walt and Connie) are still portrayed as actual, sympathetic human beings.
That said, the nitpick side of me can't help but point out that Walt and Connie are way too young to be Baby Boomers now. It worked around the turn of the century when the comic first started, but being middle aged now would place them firmly in the late Gen X or even early Millennial category. Walt needs to ditch the Moby Grape T-shirts and start wearing Metallica logos instead.
