"Forced diversity" is a phrase that I feel recently has become nothing more than a glorified dog whistle for the extreme anti-SJW crowd. I almost guaran-damn-tee you these same people would be bitching about how "woke" companies like Nintendo and Valve are if Samus or Alyx Vance got introduced today (especially Alyx, being a non-sexualized strong black female character whose hair has a highlight in it; actually hell there ARE people like that who are suddenly coming out of the wood works now that the latest game is one where the player takes control of Alyx, with there being completely unironic posts on the game's Steam forums of people seriously complaining about being "forced to play as a female").

yeah, it is hardly a new thing
heck, stuff like this was around in the US as far back as the 1970s
