Did people freak out over this?

It felt kind of flaccid to me personally. Mostly because of how quickly it's fixed and we don't actually see it happen or the immediate reactions following it. Compared to how fucked up it was to see Pearl get poofed for the first time or Amethyst slowing falling apart when she cracked.

I get what they were going with, but the execution fell flat too much to really get that emotional punch in.
