SweetBeans99 Shoplifting Comic - The message is the character is a shoplifter

You know why Office Space gets away with that? Cause it's all presented as comedy and not something a rational person would do, like burning down a building and being rewarded for it. At the end of the day, the director, the actors and the other people behind that movie are not deliberately calling for people to do whatever fictional antics are pulled by fictional people.

That's what makes it different from the person that helped created New Guy. They caption the tweet to outright state that shoplifting is completely fine, admitting to doing it before, and finding no problem with it then and now, with the character of the comic in question being actually them.

Also, Yakuza is, for many people, barely about the crimes and more about the wacky sidequests, so the criminal element is downplayed unlike something akin to Mafia II. Being presented in an over-the-top fashion and having your character be likable helps too.
