As an artist myself don't think being humble and inspired by another artist/ work is 'bad'. Many artists mimic memes all the time for example, as do I, getting down a pose is many times a fun lil challenge_

However, give credit its due, please!

Don't just look up and artist/ creation, trace his/her work, and claim it as your own original thing. Artists that commonly 'steal' work get noted as such. Word spreads. And you'll struggle to find work in this case. Respect your peers, and clients alike.
