The most annoying fanbase is the one that thinks they're too cool to enjoy things, and resent other people for doing so.

In my opinion, the earlier one piece arcs before the time skip were overall better than the newer ones. The new world is very confusing. Dressrosa took WAY too long, Big mom's island seemed unnecessary, and Wano is especially confusing. However, with the recent reveal of how Gold Roger reacted to finding the One Piece, I think I need to see how it all ends.
