There's actually an anime out there where it's 100% canon that one of the characters in the show learned her gunkata from watching Equilibrium herself.

The same show also has another girl who learned her martial arts from Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan movies. Please watch Symphogear, it's insane and amazing and I love it.

Appare Ranman is a weird anime to try and watch because you see all these amazing gifs and then you watch the show and realize that's all it is,
