Literally happened to a place my dad was planning to go to eat not too long ago. Clyde Cooper's BBQ, open since 1938, opposed segregation and Jim Crowe laws. They had a policy where everyone would use the front door, regardless of skin color, whereas other restaurants of the era would have colored people use the back door.
So of course our modern day civil rights activists vandalized the place.
