So been playing Xcom (or UFO enemy unknown for euro fans) the 94 version on steam, nostalgia all over again, funny thing is I got this in 94 by my dad as a gift…it cost 50 pence!

Still since finding it on steam it had been fun so I played superhuman (no saves of course!) with a speed run so bypassed laser weapons to get to research on more essential items.

Sectoids were tough on terror missions, mutons pain in the ass anyway whilst snakemen I don't mind fighting unless their 'pets' are tagging along.

And the ethereals I A-V-O-I-D

But during all that there was one moment that stood out, it was March and floaters were on a terror mission. I had 8 men, 7 rifles, 1 hand gun and high explosives, so as I went to Tehran like Team America with all guns blazing something bizzare happened.

Nobody died. NOBODY. No I didn't use psi-amp, my troops weren't maxed out with 80% accurate shots, they were average joes against floaters, I know floaters aren't the best by far, but for crying out loud it was turn 13 and nobody was dead, they hobbled about in the air not caring about cover and there was even a reaper that didn't move from its spot in a warehouse even though there was a civilian hanging round the crates like a moron.

So am proud to post my rare achievement in that no civ has died along with art to what I think was the other aliens reaction back at Cydonia.
