Sup, guys. Doge here. Can we stop using the R word here? It's a slur for people with intellectual disability. And it's also used to harm people with other mental disabilities or autism. I know the word is part of overall "Doge meme", but it doesn't need to be that way. Ableism is just wrong. A white person can't say the N word, and a person who doesn't have intellectual disability shouldn't say the R word either. No exceptions. The mentally ill are people too. And they shouldn't be mocked for simply existing. And that's what the R word does, whether that's your intention or not. I'm just asking you guys to remove problematic language from your vocabulary and do better. Nobody's perfect, and the most you can do is learn from what you did wrong and change for the better. Doge out.
