Super Mario - Long Fire Bars in Super Mario Bros. have a blind spot directly to their sides where they won't hurt Mario. Almost all of them are placed so that Mario can't stand in that spot, except for this one at the end of 8-4 in Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels.
