A quick search confirms that yes, he took advantage of Buttercup when she developed a crush for him.
This would also explain why in Fusion Fall (a big CN crossover MMO, for those unaware), an amnesia-afflicted Buttercup thinks she's not only in a band with him, but that he's her boyfriend. The girls are older in the game than in the show, but that's still creepy AF.
