They both have their strengths and weaknesses.

I think the main issue between any Batman VS Superman "Who is better?!" debates is that people forget how fundamentally different they are. To the point it's kind of unnecessary to compare the two.

Batman being much more about darker, grittier settings, seeing some of the worse humanity can throw at you (sometimes realistically sometimes not) and a man fighting to either find some light in that darkness or learning to move on in spite of it, while dealing with trauma. Both his own and others. The best of Batman is acknowledging just how human and broken he is, and showing his sympathy towards the criminals he fights.

Superman's obviously much brighter and hopeful. Showing humanity in someone that's pretty much a God most of the time, and genuine wholesomeness from it. A person to look up to and strive to be. Not in a sense of powers, but morals and to carry yourself.

And of course, their flaws tend to come from when those aspects drift away from the characters. When Batman's more focused on being a badass powerhouse, or too edgy, to the point of absurdity. Or with Superman and how often his extreme overpoweredness can get in the way, especially when the scale of of those powers or the threats he faces reaches to ridiculous levels. And, in general, there's only so many ways you can write, "Superman did a good!" or, "Oh no! Superman did an evil!"
