From the description:
_"When geeks say “Keep politics out of X”, we don’t mean that you can’t have political themes in entertainment; we mean that we don’t want you to proselytize. Introduce any in-setting politics that you want, or even examine real world political ideologies in a non partisan way (The gods know i LOVE Legend of the Galactic heroes and it’s one of the most politically heavy series you will find), but don’t make stories that inject contemporary real life politics and present it as “this side objectively the good guys, this other side are nazis”. Don’t introduce real life topics that are highly contested and have no consensus or even basis to back them up so you can somehow validate them. Don’t treat your own audience as bigots who deserve to be f----- over so you start making changes and dialogues that are direct jabs at them."_

_"Like really, is not THAT hard to make an entertainment product and NOT introduce literary Donald Trump as the villain. I swear you can."_

More or less don't turn the media you create into a soapbox or lecture. A political subtext is fine. When you make it just text… well, there's no point to it. Themes, messages and the like are meant to be woven in to an entertaining story. Not have a shitty message wearing the flayed skin of a story, usually a pre-existing IP.

But obviously it takes talent and ability to do this sort of thing, and since entertainment media has so many hacks that only want to preach to you, you get it more and more. It's especially, hilariously bad when they try and force real world/current politics into a fictional setting and it makes no sense at all.
