In rooms with horizontally sliding blocks in SMW, a glitch gives Mario's Cape Spin a special power. Performing a Cape Spin while getting an item from the reserve box will give an "area effect" to the spin, killing enemies that are further away from Mario.

This is due to the sliding blocks also affecting the cape's hitbox due to an oversight in the code. More information can be found in this video:

Supper Mario Broth @MarioBrothBlog An Easter egg in Super Mario RPG turns Mario into his sprite from Super Mario Bros. by walking behind a curtain. Removing the curtain reveals the sprite is already there, inert, from the beginning, and is "brought to life" by Mario fusing with it. In Booster's Tower in Super Mario RPG, walking behind this curtain will change Mario into his sprite from Super Mario Bros. Removing the foreground layer to see behind the curtain, we can see that the sprite is actually already there before he enters.
