Then in the next tournament, Man-Wolf participated only to get revenge on Roshi's blowing up the moon because he can no longer turn back into a man. Roshi then hypnotized him into believing the moon came back. Roshi did not give a fuck about the moon, otherwise he would have searched for the dragonballs to bring it back.

Eventually, the moon did get brought back (either a time skip or an episode I don't remember) only to get blown up again by Piccolo.
