In New Super Mario Bros. Wii, if Mario runs without interruption for a few seconds, he will shift into a slightly faster speed. This includes adjusting his running animation to lean more forward. In most cases, this works without problems; however, if at the precise moment of the speed shift, his running animation cycle is on the exact frame shown in the top left image (this occurs 1/18 times), the speed shifting animation glitches and Mario brings that leg 360° to the front before continuing at top speed.
