AniMAYtion - Challenge 2 - Idle

I decided to stick with the Interstate 76 theme. This is supposed to be the first scene in the game where Groove is waiting in the carpark for Taurus to bring him a blueberry milkshake.

I created the model of Groove Champion and rigged it for this animation. I don’t normaly do characters so this was quite challaging, but now I have a rigged character to use for the rest of the month. :)

Picard Piranha - Interstate 76 - PBR Version

"The Picard Piranha from the 1997 video game Interstate 76. One of my favourites growing up. Made for the #LowPolyCarChallenge

The original car was based on the 1970 Plymouth AAR ‘cuda. I wanted to stick as closely to what the car looked like in the game and not just make a cuda.

I’ve tried to get the old video game style by having hard edges with the polys and crisp unfiltered pixels. Textures are about double the resolution than what they were in the original.

To add to the challenge I really wanted to play about with sound and animation. I had recently watched CG Boosts video on his Low Poly Car Animation Breakdown and that inspired me to try my own converybelt style repeating background.

The car is only 6682 polys, but I managed to take the scene up to 9,999, just under the challange limit, with background and props to squeese as much detail in as possibe.

Here is a Character of my favorite game of my childhood Vigilante 8 2nd Offense.
Dallas 13 and his car the Palomino 13. Dallas 13 was an assassin robot send to the past (the 70's) to eliminate a Vigilante (one of the good guys). Good old memories here.

Well, we never actually saw her without her shirt anywhere in the game or promotional material so Yunica being a huge muscular girl that makes me stop breathing for a few seconds does makes sense.
