Hey, if your guy is blasting so many cops out of the sky that you need to call in the entire district PD, at that point I'd fall back and let the National Guard take him.

Reminds of Transformers: Decepticons on the DS, which has a similar wanted level system to GTA, but if you successfully destroy a crap-ton of pursuing police and military vehicles for a few minutes while at max wanted level instead of running away and hiding until the wanted level goes down like you normally would, the screen will flash white with all the police and military vehicles will run away and your wanted level resets to zero.

No idea why that mechanic exists or if it works in the Autobots version of the game, just thought I'd mention that this has technically already been done in a game similar to GTA.
