Context 

This is a Lego "Technic Guy." These are figures that came with some Lego Technic sets starting in 1986. They were discontinued in 2001 and have not been seen since then, but they are very fondly remembered by Lego fans. 

Admittedly, they may not have the same charm that minifigs have, but they are still pretty cool, and their level of poseability is insane.
