For years, people had been building up this big, strong housing market, with lots of new houses and apartments being built all over the country. But eventually, people started running out of resources. They couldn't afford to keep buying and building homes, and the market started to slow down. Then, like a big storm that hits your Fortnite island, a major player in the housing market, Lehman Brothers, crashed. This caused a lot of panic and chaos, like when you're playing a game of Fortnite and suddenly your teammate disconnects, leaving you all alone against your enemies. The Lehman Brothers crash triggered a chain reaction, and soon, other big players in the housing market started to crash too. This was like when you're playing Fortnite and one of your walls gets knocked down, and then all the other walls start to fall too. The crash of these big players in the housing market caused a lot of people to lose their homes and their jobs, and the whole economy suffered. It was like when you're playing Fortnite and you get eliminated, and then you have to start all over again from scratch. So, to sum it up: the housing market crash of 2008 was like a big storm hitting the Fortnite island, and the Lehman Brothers crash was like losing a teammate in the game. The chain reaction that followed was like all your walls getting knocked down, and the ensuing recession was like getting eliminated from the game and having to start all over again. OF EDUCATION
