Remember : it's Twitter. The character limit, lack of edit options and the overall website structure make it real easy for not expressing what you mean properly, for statements to be misinterpreted or without their follow-ups and clarifications.

Trans people's situation becoming worse and the harrassment due to Hogwarts Legacy are 2 different conversations, and not mutually exclusive. At present, one is clearly receiving more attention than the other. We shouldn't stop talking about the harrassment but we shouldn't forget why this all started, especially when anti-trans people are now way more comfortable coming out of the woodworks to blame the entire community for the harrassment.

I've already seen that one Squidward image saying "when I'm in a escaping accountability competition and my opponent is the trans community" a few times now. Which is just all kinds of wrong. The community isn't accountable, it's the bad actors, individually, who should be held accountable. All people who harrassed, who policed, who insulted. NOT trans people as a whole.
