Concept piece of Elise Heider's Odraani Paktum/Pact's science fiction setting naval uniforms by rank and role, from left to right:

1. An enlisted crewman, wearing the standard issue tan/brown jumpsuit with a zippable thermal suit underneath. All crew members aboard a vessel must carry an emergency oxygen supply unit in their person at all times (red box slung over the shoulder), popularly known as the 'lunchbox', as well as a dosimeter (orange device on shoulder).
2. A non-commissioned officer wears a tunic over their standard issue jumpsuit, sports long-cut boots and gloves and are equipped with a belt attached comms kit and shoulder-mounted radio. Headgear are mandatory for officers. This officer in particular wears an Idrian headcowl, although others wear sidecaps as well.
3. A commissioned officer of the rank lieutenant and above wears a darker tunic with yellow shoulder pads, has a corset belt with document cases attached and carries a large sidearm known as the TSF. This officer is wearing the standard short necked hat.
4. Pilots wear the newest generation G-suit as well as harness for the emergency air supply in case their pilot pod is damaged. The helmet is a standard Odraani pressure suit helmet, with the air hose and comms attached to the side for easier connection. Given the cramped nature of the Odraani pilot pods, strict height and anatomy limits are enforced (max 170cm (5'7") tall, no horns longer than 20cm (8 in), tail no longer than 200cm (6'7").
