Great history and a unique culture, although they're trendy hipsters somewhat Really, really loud and gay snobby about this The US dollar goes pretty far and the poutine is great GAR CON DENVER (#30) Also everything is pretty expensive AMSTERDAM (#25) PITTSBURGH (#8) HARRISBURG (#37) WASHINGTON, DC (#2) BLOOMINGTON (#32) INNSBRUCK (#17) More bikes than cars which is A ton to do, unique culture, great bikeability and public transportation Had to spend a night here on a bus connection, and wasn't pleased about it Unlimited things to do, world-class museums and monuments, history everywhere I've never seen so many homeless in one place and downtown smells like s--- Only useful to go here as a base for hiking the Rockies Plus the airport is so f------ cool TORONTO (#15) |KRAKOW (#11) BUDAPEST (#28) | LUCERNE (#33) A ton to do and great Beautiful city and Kind of a public transport a quintessential microcosm of Polish history A lot to do, but it has the quality of Eastern Europe for the price of Western Europe The people are Beautiful city in a beautiful setting But the single most expensive city I've ever really really proud visited But Jesus Christ, so many tourists and so many scams CARNEGIE SCIENCE CENTER Pittsburgh But everything is just mediocre and nothing is truly awesome PA doing fentanyl and crack in the streets and you can't leave a car parked for an hour without getting it broken into I visited during COVID and regulations were the most insane I've ever seen Everything of remote interest has been vandalized or destroyed Most inexpensive American city I've visited The only reason it's not ranked higher is because the city government is so f------ authoritarian and incompetent Astoundingly-beautiful city, everything is like an Art Nouveau painting The food and nightlife are also excellent But so much f------ crime LVIV (#6) Biggest city in western Ukraine, tons of history and culture because it's belonged to 9 different countries since 1910 Unlimited things to do, extremely inexpensive. Hotel rooms for $11/night and a steak dinner for $4 Can do lots of day trips from here MONTREAL (#13) BARCELONA (#7)| LJUBLJANA (#24) CLEVELAND (#27) LA SPEZIA (#36) PRZEMYSL (#12) Has a very bad reputation due to the whole...burning river thing, but it's inexpensive and there's some ok culture Italian port city with lots of tourism and a little history Small Polish city on the border with Ukraine, was only there to transit into/out of the country But I was surprised at Fashion capital of the world, and it shows in the mammoth number of retail stores lining every street Everyone is rich and things are clean compared to the rest of Italy But I found it pretty uninteresting, would not visit again if my cousin didn't live there PHILADELPHIA (#42) DETROIT (#41) I've been here People openly multiple times and I've never felt safe even in broad daylight It's pretty beautiful, but would be ranked higher if not for the tourists zippo I went there at 2 PM on a Friday and downtown was absolutely deserted conservative culture though It was eerie and felt apocalyptic My favorite hostel on earth is here so it got bonus points in the ranking Most boring city I've ever visited, there is absolutely nothing of merit here The Capitol and Civil War museum are cool, but everything beyond that is opioid epidemic Quaint, quiet little city with decent history Biggest city in Sardinia, lots of medieval history Superior hot sauce MIAMI (#16) VERONA (#20) BRATISLAVA (#3) Quaint and quiet Italian city, but the Romeo and Juliet tourists are annoying Big enough that there are a lot of things to do, small enough that it's relatively safe and quiet The culture and architecture are damn cool, definitely worth a visit if you happen to come across $10,000 lying in the woods or you're taking a cruise somewhere But no unique cultural identity The least interesting place in Slovenia OLBIA (#23) Everything is made of stone and feels really rustic, but it's small and there's not much to do The best liquor in the world comes from here Great museums and architecture, feels like Gotham City or the 1920s Excellent food and surprising amount of Cold War history In my opinion, the single best- designed city on earth Second best hostel on earth is here, made lifelong friends Despite the conservative culture, the gay community is surprisingly-open Unfortunately I was there when I was 17 with my parents so I didn't get to partake, but pray I return The one and only downside is how expensive it is Nevertheless, a lot of the city is unsafe at any time of day and there's a big drug problem BARI (#14) Stunning old stone Italian city, blows away expectations ITALIA Great seafood Everything outside the old city is trash and accommodations are unnecessarily expensive though FLORENCE (#10) MILAN (#29) CHICAGO (#18) MARSEILLE (#39) | POZZUOLI (#19) LINCOLN (#9) Went in with low expectations, Indeed, perhaps The whole thing the most aesthetically- beautiful city on earth is like one giant Renaissance art project The feel of a big North American city without the crime and homelessness of New York and L.A. Really dirty and a lot of political extremism and mob rule but got blown away Suburb of Naples, contains most of the advantages and few of the disadvantages Great seafood and ferry access to Capri and Ischia But the architecture and climate are great XXX I was only here for one day but would return for a couple more PALMA DE MALLORCA (#31) For boomers who aren't wild enough for Ibiza; lots of English and German tourists Quiet and good seafood, but not much else to do Very conservative, everyone is Christian and married by 25 USA Ok history if you know what to look for Also a conservative culture Culture pretty much centered around a big college 20000 Topographically- uninteresting Ancap. Not a ton to do, everything smells like squid KAN Great public transportation and easy access to the Alps VIENNA (#21) Every building and street is dripping with history, it's a history lover's wet dream But pretty expensive The food sucked though MUNICH (#4) CHARLESTON (#5) Incredible history everywhere and the best food and beer in Germany Very beautiful, great climate, awesome Colonial and Confederate history Good culture and food Also gives off a very classy, cosmopolitan vibe But beyond museums there's not much of a social or nightlife Excellent history and architecture, nestled in the middle of picturesque Alps Best food I've ever eaten; best nightlife in which I've ever partaken; casinos, drugs, history, architectural beauty, inexpensive POLS Literally zero downside that I've seen Very Christian and conservative, no nightlife The local beer is excellent though Dirty, extremely crowded, lots and lots of crime how much there was to do/how much history there was Pretty expensive and somewhat inaccessible though VENICE (#26) TEL AVIV (#35) Most unique city I've ever visited, the canals and Renaissance are so cool But it's pretty much ruined by Israel is weird: the youth are fairly progressive but the government is an authoritarian ethnostate Anyway there's incredible nightlife here but virtually no history, go to Jerusalem if you s------- American tourists and I'll never go there again ant that IBIZA (#12) SALERNO (#40)| PRAGUE (#1) NAPLES (#38) The whole city is a gigantic trash dump The drivers are rude and Best nightlife on earth, parties spilling out onto the street, the whole island is one big drug/sex beside a trash- dangerous and den almost nothing works strewn sea For a Big 10 college town, there are a ton of excellent. restaurants and nightlife Right-wing culture, great hunting and shooting nearby But topographically- uninteresting and geographically isolated I spent a week there and got scammed three times even though I'm an Italian f------ citizen Impossible to sleep downtown because of all the noise
