Weinstein was notorious for demanding bizarre changes to movies before and after they had been made. Look up the production of The Crow: City of Angels, Weinstein had butchered the movie so badly in the editing room (half the movie was cut out leaving out a ton of fight scenes and character development and it was reedited in a really weird way with a scene meant to happen in the first act being moved to the end of the second act) that both the writer David S. Goyer and the director Tim Pope disowning it and the director being so heartbroken over the whole affair that he refused to ever make a movie again, sticking to music videos and commercials.

Halloween 6 got so badly butchered there are two different versions, Hellraiser 4 was disowned by its director due to 40 minutes of footage being taken out, the weird changes he tried to insist on Lord of the Rings before they took the movies to New Line Cinema, etc…

He was just as much a rapist of films as he was a rapist of women.
