Actually, people hate furries because 4chan decided hating furries and "furfags" was "the in thing" about 5 years ago. It's stuck around all this time because of the stigma/common stereotype/general bad taste most people get when they hear the word "fursuit"

What amazes me is the fact that there are people on the internet who don't agree with these definitions. Hell, I've seen a comment on a humanized image before that said "Ew, furry".
