My main concern is, as an unschooler, my son is probably not at the same reading level as someone his age in public school. I keep getting bombarded by family that he's "behind" or is getting behind. I'm just worried that he might get made fun of if he doesn't read well. I read in other groups that their unschoolers sometimes didn't start reading until 9 or 10 years old. How can I make sure this won't be a problem with a group like Cub Scouts? Or are there any other groups I could sign him up for that I wouldn't have to worry about ridicule??
