Anonymous member · 6h · ✓ Need to vent and ask if anyone finds this extremely creepy. I have 2 kids with my partner (currently live separate working on things). He has a child from his previous relationship who's a teenager. His ex left the state with her and didn't actually ask but last minute made the agreement that he wouldn't take legal action if she sent her to see him every 3 weeks. She's not stuck to that at all since leaving but he doesn't want to uproot his child's life when she's settled and doing well. Anyway, his ex has just made the suggestion of shared care with all the kids including mine and his 2. She suggested sending her daughter to him for a year while she takes our son and then our daughter next and keep doing a rotation saying we are all aunty/ uncle mum and dad. This has completely thrown me to be honest and I can't believe she's actually suggested it. I know she can't do anything and my partner agrees it was wild for her to even ask that. He didn't shut it down and said he'd ask what I think which upset me, like just tell her absolutely not. She made this suggestion after telling us we should move to where she is (7 hours from where we live) or come for a visit and we said no to that. Although I adore my step. daughter and miss her alot I stay out of their conversations regarding her because it's between them but her trying to essentially become a 3rd parent to my children is insane. I've seen stories like this escalate so this kinda made me feel off but she also lives ages away. I'm not over thinking this right?
