MLP Review of the S3 Premiere an Due to alot ofdiseussions of this opening, and enlighten soime of the reasons why they had that opinion. This will be parts. It is really good, Seeing a new world is "s"ally really exciting for me. The idea ofhaving a rush against time, makes it more epi , maybe more then S2 finale the doing this for day's, with no help, seeing her so weak, makes it so real, like as soon as she goes, its done. It felt very true to what we seen to this point, and they did it well. s reall, al thought of Cadence, freakin Characters: They seem pretty intact, and still act like what thevare. Not actin뜨 out ofella racter. And Finally, Spike is actually doing something, helping, not being ust a pawn for a joke. Soyeah it felt like the,y did what it needed to be done and it worked perfectly r a doll kissing Was I the only one, kinda felt disappointed at the songs, when they were shown at the cons They felt very bland for me, but again, this was before the episode aaired. So mavbe its because we had no insight ofwhat is going on. And With the insight, the first song sounded really good, and it was great. But the second song, it only help a little for me. It didn't really seem to do alot like the others did, it was a song, reparing a fair for the crystal ponies, that's it, its like having a Song in the Nightmare night episode, and just singing what will be there for that night I liked it, but it wasn't really nemorable. Ⅱnation It seemes like they were doin much more with the new ponies , having them have this concept really gave them alot to do with, and it worked very we showed alot more, it felt much more bigger, and like they always do, make the most out ofanination. Very well done. This is what everyone is talkin about. I like him, But he is very disappointing. My Chart on the villains for this show, Discord: , Qicen Chrysalis: Close but second, Then、ightmare inoon. To see how good these villains were, and how interes- ting they were, was very surpri seing for me. But to see it, go reall Really is a draw back. The design ofhim, is REALLY REALLY COOL, I'll give him that, but really, he did, nothing, all he did, was wait, until the last minute, were it lasted the Traps we see Twilight get into was there, and was doing something, but he didn't have the intention of WHO is going through it. It wasjust a Just to be safe mechanism. That's it. So I'm sorry, he'sjust nothing compared to the rest of villains. Overall: 'This was a great epis- ode, Dispite the najor Setback a Interesting Villain, and a song not being all that great I love it. I really liked the new episodes, especially Spike saving the day. Also I feel they did a very good job with the pacing, all of the other two-parters start off slow and then become rushed towards the end, but the pace was just perfect with these two. And the Failure/Success song reprise was definitely one of my favorite scenes out of all seasons, it just felt magical and loving.

My logic is with such a great 2 parter in such a short amount of time, they had to make a few drawbacks. Having the villain with a more rounded personality wasn't really unnecessary, they wanted to focus on the story more. Sombra was technically more of a plot device, and I don't see a single thing wrong with that. Sometimes a story NEEDS one-dimensional characters every now and again; he was far from boring though.
