See The Winner Of April 2025's Meme Of The Month!

And the meme of April 2025 goes to …

Chicken Jockey! This scene from A Minecraft Movie took over both social media and theaters everywhere in April as meme-loving moviegoers shouted the line and went absolutely ballistic when the hateable little mob came on screen. Chicken Jockey was just one of many memes that the long-awaited film blessed us with, most of which seemed to be based on Jack Black naming things from the game. Despite the sea of memes the movie inspired, Chicken Jockey stood out as the king, earning over 38.3% of the total votes and taking April 2025's crown.

J.D. Vance Killed Pope Francis Theories
You probably heard that Pope Francis died this month, but did you know that it was shaking Vice President J.D. Vance's hand that actually did him in? Well, that was the humorous theory spreading in the meme-verse in April after reports came out claiming that Vance met with the pope only hours before he was reported dead. The most common joke was that the pope's strangely timed death was proof that Vance is the antichrist, leading to a whole lot of viral jokes, photoshops and memes imagining him as a sort of grim reaper. Vance's cold claw of death was enough to grab him second place on our poll with 10.1% of the votes.

Tung Tung Tung Sahur
A fan-favorite AI Italian branrot character, Tung Tung Tung Sahur, waltzes into third place this month, once again begging the question, "Will the brainrot animals meme ever die?" This character stands out among the other weirdos like Tralalero Tralala and Frigo Camelo thanks to his signature baseball bat, big eyes, disturbing feet and threatening aura. In April, Tung Tung Tung Sahur was able to rot social media users' brains just enough to earn him 9.7% of the total votes.

R.E.P.O. "I Love"
R.E.P.O. has been a major hit as far as indie online horror games go, and it got a doozy of a meme last month with the R.E.P.O. 'I Love' animations. These animations, which show a R.E.P.O. character rolling on the ground while singing "Chest Pain (I Love)" by Malcolm Todd, are inspired by a real Twitch clip from streamer PresidentLloyd. In April, talented animators and artists decided to recreate the clip in a variety of formats, also remixing the character's singing with the original song. This epic vocal performance earned the "I Love" meme fourth place with 7% of your votes.
Steve's Lava Chicken
To round off the list, another meme from A Minecraft Movie managed to just barely crack the top five thanks to the infectious earworm of a song, "Steve's Lava Chicken." In the movie, Jack Black's character Steve sings the song while showing the protagonists around his world. The song is about his fried chicken restaurant, which fries the chickens with, you guessed it, lava. The song dominated social media in April and reportedly became the shortest song to hit the Hot 100 charts. Its popularity as a meme, source for animations and as a TikTok sound grabbed it our number five spot with 6.4% of the votes.
