So… Sunset Shimmer is a pony from Equestria, former student of Celestia (or something similar) who is hugely jealous of Twilight for becoming the favored one.
She steals the crown thingy mentioned earlier and jumps into the human anthro world, with Twilight in pursuit.
This scene is likely towards the third quarter of the movie, when Sunset Shimmer activates the crown's power/steals the Element of Magic in order to use its power for herself.
Cue the Alt-Universe mane six needing to bond so that they can re-activate their Elements in order to defeat the powered up Sunset Shimmer.

Or at least, that's what might happen if this turned out to be any good!
