The metaphor/parallel is obvious:Fluttershy (the good, charitable, loving Christian) is tasked by a higher power to confront the wicked gay (Discord) and, through love and Christian compassion, lead them away from their life of wickedness Of course, one must love the sinner and hate the sin. After all, Discord/the gays aren't ashamed of their choice of lifestyle, are they? Discord/the gays will INSIST that this is who they are, what they were born to be. And they have aso much fun being who they are. But we all know chaos/wickedness is a choice, don't we? If they can only be convinced of the love of good godly people... surely they will come around? And so the episode goes. Fluttershy (the good Christian), embraces the wicked Discord (the gay), and shows through words, deeds and a good, godly life, you can leave the chaos/gay behind, and live a life through God.
