Helping people lose weight would be supporting them. Telling people to lose weight is being a condescending douche.

Sizeism is just another form of judging someone based on their appearance, which is never okay. The fact that obesity is a bad thing, and not a point of pride has nothing to do with it. Being an illiterate isn't a point of pride either. Does that mean we should be yelling "learn to read!" at illiterates?

I don't like these "fat acceptance" movements either, but acting like a patronizing jerk towards people (regardless of reason) is not going to accomplish anything.
