World of Tanks, yes it's free to play. But there are pay to play elements like some tanks, around 20, can only be bought with gold which you can (mostly) only get by spending cash. But the other around 200 tanks can by bought with silver which you get for completing matches. Also the gold tanks aren't necessarily better then the free ones so people with them don't seem to OP. But you can only have so many tanks in you garage at a time. Then you either have to sale tanks (for about half their price in silver) to make room or buy more garage spaces using gold. But there are ways to get free gold. I once got 5000 gold getting the top 50 kills in a medium tank during a weekend challenge. That would have been enough for 10 more garage space but I then waited for a sale (which they have about ever other month) and was able to get 16 spaces and a gold tank for free.
