Well, there goes 72 minutes of my life Ill never get back. If you haven't finished it yet, DO NOT read on, because spoilers. If you have, lets get to work. Firstły, I would like to declare that anyone and everyone who has claimed this film to be superior to the first is full of s---. That being said, it actually isn't s------- than the first film, either. It's equally as bad, and considering the first film was already garbage, it's every bit as frustrating to sit through. It seems that, for everything they actually improved upon, a new problem sprung up to take its place. For instance, there aren't nearly as many pointless scenes in this film as there were in the first. However, the main plot is every bit of a mess as the first film's, if not more so. There were so many convenient plot devices, the most heinous of which being Twilight literally changing the rules of the portal... oh God, help us, I think this is Fountain rules. On top of that, there was also the plot device book that Sunset just so happened to have, and its counterpart just so happened to be delivered to the pony Twilight that day. There was also the Rainbooms advancing in the tournament, even though they f----- up. Even Fluttershy brought up how weird it was that they advanced, ony for her suspicions to be handwaved and their advancement to never be explained. Then, theres Vinyl Scratch actually being the hero in this film... fanservice much? Additionally, many people predicted that she would be the onhy one unaffected by the Sirens, because headphones. Nice to see that McCarthy's writing is as predictable as ever. And last, but certainly not least, how are they able to use magic without Twilight's crown?! Yet another question that was smply handwaved; they just roled with it, and expected us to do the same. There were a few other, smaller plotholes, but I've got other points to address. Okay, so they didn't focus as much on the romantic subplot this time around. Unfortunately, this just opened up more time for them to pad the rest of the film with fanservice. Cause we never get enough of that, amI right? The Maud scene was especially stupid. If I could fly all the way down to Burbank, California so I could punch Meghan in the face and tell her how NOT FUNNY this character is... I wouldn't, cause lm a gentleman, and Im above that. But still, f--- her for her pitiful sense of humor The Dazzlings songs... actually weren't that bad. They were a lot better than the rest of the songs in the film, which are every bit as cheesy and uninspired as the ones from the first film. Unfortunately the Dazzlings themselves are Changeling rip-offs, thus making them unoriginal. I also don't understand how one song was enough to divide the whole school. Then again, these are the same students that were united by one song in the first film, so I guess they 're pretty impressionable. I still find it odd how they took something like a Battle of the Bands so seriously, however. Unless increased animosity is a side effect of their singing, but that was never stated outright, so that's just theory at best. The Dazzlings also were not redeemed for their crimes. Color me shocked. Unfortunately, it was hard to take the climax seriously, because the Rainbooms magic usage was never given a clear explanation, and the addition of Sunset Shimmer was, for some reason, enough to overcome the Sirens. And didI mention that Vinyrs car can transform into a bass cannon? Like I said, this is Fear and Loathing rules There's no rules. COME ON. They actually took the time to flesh out Sunset's character, which makes me hate her a little less Unfortunately, they made no attempt to give Gary Stu a personality, they made Spike far less witty and sarcastic, and they decided that making Pinkie Pie as obnoxious as she was in Season 4 was a good idea. Spoiler: it's not. 。.. it's Finally, when all is said and done, we get a post-credits scene with human Twilight commenting on how strange CHS is. Do I care? F--- no! Spin-off, third movie, whatever, ain't touching some s--- like this ever again. So, as you can see, for every aspect that they improved, they completely canceled out with something equally as stupid, or even more stupid. This is not an improvement in the slightest, and it damn sure isn't worth the $8 you'd drop on a ticket. And imagine if you got concessions! Itd be evern more expensive! No, if you really wanna watch this (for whatever reason), watch it on YouTube or

Eh, I'd say Maud's appearance was rather poorly done.

It really conveys her as more stupid, especially toward her "pet". Her episode clearly shows she's aware that he's just a rock, and dumping food on the ground for him is a bit much.
