About
The Pasta Boyfriend Twins and Benji's "First Valentine's Together" Tweet refers to viral discourse about a tweet shared by Twitter / X user Benji (@bxnjibxy) on Valentine's Day 2025. Benji is a gay man and the tweet showed a photo of him and his boyfriend before their pasta dinner, captioned, "First Valentine's together 💌." The tweet caused a viral debate about same-sex couples who look almost identical because Benji and his boyfriend look similar, as they were both white and had short brown hair, mustaches and stubble. Many joked that they looked like brothers, siblings or twins. The chatter was mostly among X users in the LGBTQ+ community who believed that many queer couples in same-sex relationships tended to date their "twins." Some expressed contempt for this purported phenomenon. Others countered the contempt and ill-will aimed at Benji and his boyfriend, condemning the stereotype and the negative reaction to their post. Many joked about Benji and his boyfriend unintentionally becoming a "think piece" simply by posting a wholesome Valentine's Day photo likely meant for a small audience of friends.
