Many people from my generation, including me, grew up on shows like Nickelodeon's Ren and Stimpy and Rocko's Modern Life. Years after, we enjoyed Cartoon Network's Billy and Mandy, Chowder, and Flapjack. Y'know what they all had in common? A constant reliance on gross-out humor and shock value. And y'know what? We loved them for it. Breadwinners, and UncleGrandpa for having gross-out/shock humor, when it's the exact same type of humor we grew up with? Cartoons didn't get worse.
